Today you are exactly 24 weeks old, 6 months to be exact! I can't imagine how hard it is to be inside a swollen tummy! =) Whenever I feel you kick, I really feel that you want to get out and see your mommy and daddy. Like you, we are so excited! But of course we don't want you to come out ahead of time for it will be bad for you. A few more months to wait and soon, you'll see the beauty of this world.

I really hope that you'll see the beauty of it. For some people are having a hard time seeing the color of life. But I guarantee you, we will help you see it.

As a mom, I have so many apprehensions. But mommy has a strong faith. Life outside mommy's tummy is tough, but we will help you get through it. I can't promise you all the leisure in life, for I don't want you to grow like a spoiled brat. As you grow, I want you to learn that you can't have everything you want. But if you want something really bad you have to earn it.

I will protect you from every danger that might come your way, but I will still let you walk freely as you grow. I will let you choose and make decisions, but I'll be here to give suggestions. I want you to learn that not everything you think is right will do you good. Sometimes our decisions will hurt us. Sometimes we falter and it is hard to get up. But don't worry, mommy's gonna help you stand and walk upright.

As you grow, I want you to emulate your father. He is a person of laughter and strength. I've never seen him distressed with worries. He may not be religious, but he has faith. He is a person of love and he says it, more importantly... he shows it.

Never be afraid to show that you love someone. Especially to us, your parents. I want you to grow in a family filled with love and affection. That way, you will never feel that you lack that loving feeling and in the future you will not end up searching and loving the wrong person.

I will teach you to love music. Music livens up our soul, it will make you more beautiful.

I will teach you to eat vegetables and fruits, you need that so you won't have colds like me.

I will teach you to write poems and short stories. Writing can be an outlet of our emotions. You can make your dreams come to reality when you write a story.

We will play outdoor games instead of video games. This will enhance your motor skills, endurance and body coordination. You will gain many friends and you will learn trust, confidence and cooperation.

I will let you read a good book. The bible is one book I will never fail to read for you before you go to sleep, but I'll also let you read a book that will challenge your gray matter.

I have so many things to teach you, so many things I want you to experience and I really pray that you'll grow up as good person. I won't dream for you for I know you will have your own. I'll just be here to help you reach that dream. My only wish is that you'll enjoy life and when you grow old, no matter how tough life seems, you are still strong and able to do the right thing.

To you...my baby, I pray that you'll be a person of love, friendship and faith. A person of integrity and respect.

A person able to live life in its true colors.

I love you,
Mommy =)

We are done with our festive dinner and reunion, we've counted and ranked the most eventful happenings and news in our lives and now it's the 2nd day of the year and it seems like life is back to normal. Back to the old routine... in the middle of the bustling streets of our so called LIFE.
Yet, no matter how routinary life can be, there will always be "jack in the box" along our way... popped right into our face unexpectedly.
I have all this year to thank for. 2006 trully was a roller coaster ride. For the first half... I was misled. Mistakes were everywhere and it seemed like I can never get up from the shithole.
But despite the painstaking journey, I was never ashamed of my departure from the truth. My faults and misapprehensions made me strong. It made me willingly wait for happiness.
And so there is...
I found the happiness not longer than expected, the second half of 2006 brought me so much blessings and joy. I ended the year with so much love... the true and sincere love I have been searching for all my life.
This year, 2007. I started the year right. I am inlove with the man I've been friends with for 10 long years and we will cherish a lifetime of friendship.
The smile of sadness will not be seen for this year is the beginning of forever... the start of the rest of our lives together.
Now we are married!

It's been a long time since I kept you guys posted... well... even a short period of time can make great and big changes! Life turning events as they say...

And for me, this is what happened over the holiday season:
November 26, 2006 we found out that I'm pregnant.
There's no good news other than this!!!
We had a hard time telling it to our parents. Mix of joy, excitement and fear but everything was worth it because they were able to accept it with open arms. Well my parents were kinda disappointed but they did not have the reaction that I thought they'd have. Thank God they took it smoothly. When my parents learned about it, Geralds parents came to our house for pamanhikan. It was a nerve-wrecking event but it turned out pretty well coz his parents and mine were able to talk nicely and became friends. They don't have a choice after all.
And so the date was set... December 30th 2006

Daddy and I standing in front of the highest indoor Christmas tree in the Philippines... where else? Mall of Asia.

Daddy and I had a very tiring day, We went to Divisoria to buy gifts and Christmas decorations, we also bought clothes and some other stuff. After our escapade in DIVI, I had a pseudo massage in this massage chair somewhere around the arcade of Mall of Asia, we also watched "The Covenant" and the most important of all... a very heavy dinner... Lasagna... yum yum!

'Twas Louie's birthday, daddy and I together with our highschool friends went to Louie's place to celebrate with a sumptuous dinner and beer parade!!! =)

I spent Halloween and All saint's day at Indang with Gerald. We just relaxed at home and visited the grave of his relatives. On our way home, we took a different route, we went to Alfonso and then to Tagaytay.

We went to Picnic Grove and spent an hour there. Cherishing the view and having snacks.

It was a very memorable event for us because it was just the 2 of us, unplanned, but we enjoyed our short stay at Tagaytay.

'Twas so romantic... us eating sandwich and siopao...while seated on the grass...watching the beautiful sunset... feeling the cold breeze of Tagaytay high.

Last weekend (Oct. 7-8, 2006) I gave in to daddy's request. But I enjoyed it nevertheless. Instead of watching movies, we went to Philsports Arena (ULTRA) and watched the All Star Games of UAAP vs. NCAA. But before that, on our way there we had to take the MRT and there we saw Jane Manalili, a former classmate in highschool, it was nice seeing her for she was a good friend as well and she's getting married to her long time boyfriend Cesar. Such a nice thought and in a few months time, next year God willing we're on the same path. So after seeing her we went straight to the game. The place was crowded and thrilling. It was full of sports enthusiasts, alma mater loyals and girls routing for their star varsity crushes. I was gazing through the crowd looking for a familiar face, Jeff, one of our friend who works for my school in college who happens to be part of the game. Thankfully, we saw him and he gave us seats near the players and we had the chance to take pictures with them which really thrilled me to the max! =) Here are some shots taken, thanks to Jeff!!!

Daddy and I, with Aljamal of San Beda. He's one of my crushes actually... Peace Daddy!!! =)

Here we have the dark giant of San Beda, Ekwe. He's really a good one but he's a snob. I guess because they lost the game. But still at least he let us take a picture of him. =)

A nice picture taken with my very own schoolmate Misa, of University of Perpetual Help. I was hoping Fritz Bauzon was there but Misa is - I guess a better player than him... and he's good looking in person huh! Daddy... peace ulit! =)

Ah... Daddy's schoolmate and BIG bet!!! Bono of Adamson... well he's just the MVP for this season's UAAP games. Enough said!!!
After watching a terrific game, we went straight home hungry and we ate our favorite tapa and nilaga. That night was a lot memorable as well because we had a one on one drinking session. Well actually there were 3 of us... with Archie, his housemate.
A perfect weekend for Daddy and I... as always! =)

I know I've done something really terrible, I admit my mistakes and I understand how you feel. I sincerely apologize for all the stupid things I've done... I can change I promise. Please forgive me.

The green-eyed monster ate me.
It's chewing me piece by piece,
Slowly the pain freezes my brain,
And cripples my entire body.
Now I'm dead.
I'm begging for your forgiveness

We had a splendid time over the weekend last week (Sept 23-24, 06'). We spent our days-off at Gerald's hometown in Indang. There, I got to meet my soon to be in-laws. His mom and that we're so nice to me. They even cooked sinigang for lunch (Saturday) and come Sunday his dad had a "manok tagalog" killed so we can cook "tinolang manok".
The fun part was we cooked it the old way, using wood and not gas stove.

Saturday afternoon just after my siesta, his mom asked me to join her and their neighbors. We had a small chat and she introduced me to them. It's so fun coz I feel so welcome and they kept on asking about our wedding plans. Then Gerald and I went to some of his relatives. We literally walked from house to house so I can meet the whole clan

When we were at his grandmother's house his grandma was so happy to see me. She even told us to get married immediately so she can still make it to our wedding. All his aunts and cousins and uncles were so nice to me and that weekend was a blast and the happiest and the most memorable weeken ever. Imagine your in-laws all in favor of you!!! Haaaay... I'm so glad to have Gerald!!!
Here are some shots of us cooking tinola!!! Oh so fun!!!

I couldn't thank God more than enough,
For the life that he gave me.
Each day, I have a beautiful morning
For I know that an angel stands by me.
I was never told that life can be of such delight.
The wrath of pain was out of sight.
The cold prison will not be remembered,
For my angel has arrived on time.
My frozen soul will fly with him,
The warmth of his wings shall melt the snow,
And together we'll see the beauty of spring.
He'll hold my hand as we look at the clouds' sorrow depart.
Each day, the life i live is what he gives.
Each day, the love he gives is what i live for.
Each day, I could not thank God more than enough,
For each day, I have a beautiful morning.

After camwhoring and playing around the bay area, we got so tired and nothing's better than anything else but FOODTRIP!!! We ate squid balls and fish balls, and in this picture we were waiting for our "isaw" and "barbeque".... hmmmm... yum-yum!

Unfortunately it was a bit cloudy when afternoon came, but we had a fun moment while playing under the sun. After that went to the theater to watch "The devil wears Prada".

The whole day was really tiring, yet we had so much fun! Again, as we went home we ate tons of food, and then he stayed for a while at my house and watched basketball as usual! The next day (Monday) will be another week for us... well work week that is! I can't wait for the next weekend coz we'll be going to Indang, Cavite (his hometown).

1:21 PM

**Sept. 3, 2006** It's the start of "ber" months already and you know how it is in the Philippines... we have the longest Christmas evah!!! Since Christmas is just hanging around the corner, the weather is that day was close to perfect and of course I was so excited to see the sunset! So off we go to Mall of Asia because it's the most perfect spot to view Manila bay and the beautiful sunset.

While waiting for the sun to set we were enjoying the view and camwhoring althrough out the day. =)

12:50 PM

It was a fun filled weekend for patatas and I. We didn't see each other last Saturday because I had a singing engagement for a wedding. So I just spent the whole Sunday at his place. I went there early morning around 9am and started our day by going to Redemptorist church to hear the mass. After that I helped him do his laundry. We had a great time even if it was just the laundry that we're doing. Oh and by the way I missed lunch... yeah we had a great lunch together! We bought "longsilog" and "nilagang baka" from our favorite tapsihan and there... my diet has been totally forgotten!!!

Doesn't he look good while washing his clothes... hahahah! Perfect husband! He can wash all my clothes in the future! =)

Just kidding!!! Mwah!!!

And so after the laundry... off we go to SM Mall of Asia again... but before that we need to brush our teeth! Heheheheh!!!

12:35 PM

Monday, August 28, 2006

After the mass, we went home and had dinner. Yeah, it was really a simple celebration and yet out of the ordinary. None of the expensive restaurants and chic cocktail dress.
I asked my mom to cook lots of rice since we are voracious-rice-eaters. Then we bought crispy chicken from the street vendor outside our subdivion, we had "leeg ng manok" (chicken's neck), chicken wings and chicken skin. We also bought "lumpiang shanghai" (spring roll) from one of the 24hour tapsihan.
We were so hungry and excited to eat. Turned out that the waitress gave us the wrong food. She gave us tapsi instead of spring roll. I was kinda worried for the waitress coz she might get in trouble because of that. Nevertheless, we still had a sumptuous meal... better than any fine-dine cuisine. We just have to put candles and we're all set! Hah!
Haaay... we were so full after 3 plates of rice and you bet my tummy was about to explode! =)
Those ordinary stuff that we do, doesn't really seem ordinary. Even a ride on a jeepney is a joyride for us especially when we laugh about stuff.
No one can make me laugh the way he does! =)
He's a simple guy, that's true... Simply the BEST!

9:18 PM

Yesterday was our 2nd month together. Well, yeah we're just starting but it seems like we've been together for years. Technically we've been friends for 10 years and I guess the connection is really deep.
I know some people might find it very "highschool" to celebrate a "monthsary" (if there's such a word) but I really think that each day we spend with each other is a celebration of love and friendship.
It was a simple celebration - not with those fancy gifts and stuff which will eventually be thrown away if it gets broken or if things won't work out well (I hope not with us!). After work we went to hear the 5:45pm mass at Greenbelt. I think putting God at the center of the relationship will make the relationship stronger. I've learned that after the numerous relationships that I've had which we can call Failure. =) That's why we make it a point to hear the mass every Sunday and if possible every Wednesday.
The sermon of the priest was very timely, it was all about LOVE. I like the part wherein he said, if we love someone we have to be faithful. We don't need to say "promise" or to swear to our loved ones, because if we are true to our word, a simple YES can be a promise to keep.
My heart was moved upon hearing that, and I hope we will be faithful to each other for the rest of our lives.

6:20 PM

Wednesday, August 23, 2006

Gerald,
I know you were really upset on how the game turned out out last night. I felt bad as well and seeing you disappointed and fail makes me feel really depressed. But there's no need to feel ultimately bad about it. Failure comes to our lives once in a while and maybe for some, more often. I just want to constantly remind you that whenever failure comes knocking at your door, I still believe that you can make it. I believe in your strength, I believe that you can achieve more, I believe in you... and I believe that you're the best.
The rest of the world might say something bad, or may not approve of what you say or do, but I would coming running and defend you, for they do not know the other side of you. The angel that loves me and who will always protect me.
We have our own passion, and when we are defeated there's no need to feel discouraged. I guess the reason we have someone to love is because we need someone to keep us going. I am that person to you Gerald, whatever you do I will be here to push you so you'll have more strength and if your tired you can rest on my shoulders. When you're weak, hold on to me and I'll help you move on.
We can never avoid bad days, but when that day is at your feet, always think that I love you.
We can never get everything in life, but you have my love and I hope that is worth keeping for.
Ever since you came to me, the way I see life is totally different. I may not have all the glamorous pair of shoes in the world, I may not be a newscaster for CNN (as what I have always dreamt of) but I don't care, because right now I have the best in life... YOU.

**August 19, 2006**

Last weekend I spent the weekend at Gerald's place. I was fun coz we went to the grocery together and bought food to eat. As usual, food trip again. I feel so bloated this past few days because of constant eating.

It's different when we eat together. Food is more delish!!!

After a sumptuous meal we headed to SM Mall of Asia, it's a saturday so we were able to catch the beautiful fireworks display. Haaay... it's really amazing! After the show we just enjoyed the night walking and window shopping and after that we watched the kids ice skate. While watchin we were building stories again of how we're going to rear our small potatoes. We want to have a basketball player potato, singer potato or probably a skating fat potato. It was really a fun-filled weekend together doing nothing and building dreams.

When we got home, we saw a deck of cards. I don't really want us to play since I keep on telling him that I don't want him to gamble at any time. So he just tried to read the cards and know my future. Luckily the cards read well, and as you can see the interpretation to this (according to him) I am represented by the Ace of Clover and he is the Ace of Spade. Since the Ace of Heart is next to him it says there that he loves me so much. The Ace of Diamond connotes that I have rich feelings for him and that was supported by the Jack of Hearts.

Our first visit at Mall of Asia was a total blast, we were supposed to watch the sunset but the weather wasn't really cooperative so we just enjoyed the view of Manila bay. Good thing there was a fireworks display that night. It was really beautiful and romantic. I really enjoy the small things that we share together. I guess that's the secret. I just love it when we're doing nothing.

Sweet kiss for my patatas, while chillin at MOA East Wing.
At last, I have found someone who'd enjoy window shopping with me, someone who'd enjoy looking at the bright lights of the city, someone who'd appreciate small things such as the rainbow and someone who'd walk with me and eat "sorbetes" along the streets.
I've found someone who would hold my hand as we cross the street, someone who would wait for the bus with me. I've found someone who will play with me and will not make me cry, someone who would brush my hair and
scratch my back until I fall asleep. I've found someone who would go to church and pray with me, someone who whispers in my ear "you're so beautiful... but not sexy". I've found someone that I can bring home to meet my mom and face my dad with dignity.
I've finally found someone who can make me smile for no reason and
make me cry because happiness.
I now have someone, who brought me love, dreams and peace!

These days, high technology helped us to get connected to our loved ones easily. Text, email... even your hubby from overseas would get your love message.

I guess the generation today haven't felt the "kilig" factor of receiving a love letter. I'm so fond of writing and collecting letters... it's the most romantic way of showing you love someone.

**August 9, 2006** while having dinner, I gave him the first love letter I made for him.

We have searched for happiness in the farthest places, but we never had it. Just to realize that this person used to hang out with you 10 years ago! It took us a long time to realize that huh!
Yes, I have found my treasure in you. I love it when we pray together, when we hear the mass together. When we eat together and yes we eat a lot! I love it when we watch a movie together, when we commute together and when we play thumb wrestling while we're waiting in the bus.I love it when we laugh together and when we fight over stupid things. I love it when we do your laundry together and when we walk under the rain. I love everything about you, I love everything we do! And I would cook for you for the rest of our lives together."may we find our treasure" the priest said the other day... yes, I've found you... my treasure, my angel, my patatas! I love you! =)
I love my Patatas!

Watched UAAP games
Adamson University vs. FEU
Gerald is a basketball fanatic! He loves to watch basketball and as much as he wants to watch he also loves to play. I remember back in highschool he was part of the varsity team, although I couldn't quite remember if he plays well. But I think he does coz when I watch him play now he's really good at it.
But what really amazes me is not how he plays basketball... it's his reaction whenever he sees the ball game. I watched 2 of his games already and it's really funny coz he's all excited and jittery like a kid when the game is about to start. Upon seeing the basketball court and his teammates he can't contain himself. I can feel the energy boost out of his body. I was talking to him, nagpapacute and naglalambing but his attention is on the ball and his neck is stretching all the way to the court. And when we were watching the UAAP game, he was so absorbed by it that he hardly spoke to me. But it's fine... I mean I'm not jealous or anything... I just find it amusing that this "potato" is like a kid whenever he sees the court, the players and the game... I'm just excited when the cheering squad dances =).
It's fun when we do things together and I never enjoyed watching a ball game until we've been together. It's fun when we both cheer for a team. It's fun! I guess I'm always happy with him!

After the wedding we watched "Sukob".

We love watching movies, the first movie we've watched together is "Omen" ( we weren't together then).

The first movie we've watched as couple is "Superman" (July 5, 2006). Then "Lady in Water".

It's fun to watch a movie with someone...
I used to watch movies alone and I thought it's better that way but no it's better to watch with him and laugh while strolling inside the mall.

First photos taken with my new phone that I've waited for a month and a half... whew!

Very Constipated

Wacky shots taken at his place. This was the first time
I set foot on his apartment. But the second visit was a
lot more memorable than the first one... =)
It was really embarrassing, coz I had stomach ache then I went there so I can poopoo!

Aaaaaw.... sweet kiss for my potato!

Life left me a bad taste in the mouth,
But you made me laugh,
And so I forgot the taste.
Mornings used to bring me death of a thousand cuts,
But you made me smile each morning,
And now I look forward to each day of my life.
The past haunted me and tormented me with pain,
But you held my hand through the course of my journey.
Now my days are full of the joys of spring.
I had anxiety-filled sleepless nights,
In anticipation of what could go wrong.
But you kissed me before I sleep.
Now I sleep and I see you in my dreams.
I was a slave of fear, it was crippling.
But your sweet embrace brought warmth and security.
Now I've learned to fight a good fight.
I've been pretending to be strong, though I trip and fall a lot of times.
I still try to stand upright.
But you carried me as I walk,
Now I'm not afraid to be weak,
For you are now my strength.
Love is made perfect in weakness,
Together we fill each others shortcomings,
Together we will praise the Lord.
Every morning I'll wake up looking at your face.
And in your arms I am certain.
